1. “Lark” - Angel Olsen
A feeling of lack and wanting more. Seeing the stairway, the way up, trying to take it but stumbling towards, legs of gelatin like a dream. Desire, unfulfilled but striving. Lost, empty, warm, it moves you. A deep green-blue. Echo calling out, wanting only to be seen, to be heard. Choral sadness, voices rising, internally, making their way to surface, indiscernible, driving.
2. “鳴らして” - harunemuri
This one prescribed by Rebecca, moons ago, sadness surging forward, its unending torrent. The surety that this feeling won’t end. The hollow pit, deep in it, not knowing what to pull you out, or rather certain nothing will. Tears pushing, breaking the face. The sound of the eyes cracking. Close to fury, aimless.
3. “An Angel Held Me Like a Child” - yeule
Tears subsiding. Wiping face, sinuses swollen, soft tissue, relief. Driving, in the sun, window down, eyelids swollen, red, full. A soft embrace. Tenderness. Sad together now. Feeling good for feeling and feeling opened.
